LOUD, Paper Rex Set Up UB Semis Clash in VALORANT Champions


Brazilian squad LOUD and Indonesian team Paper Rex made it to the upper bracket semifinals of the VALORANT Champions 2023 after dispatching their respective opponents, Thursday at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, USA.

LOUD beat Fnatic of United Kingdom via sweep, 2-0, while Paper Rex made swift work as well of FUT Esports of Turkey, 2-0 to arrange a duel in the upper bracket semis.

The top-ranked team from the VCT Americas League figured in a tight encounter with Fnatic in the first game before taking a narrow 13-11 victory. LOUD then dominated the second game, 13-6, to complete the sweep.

Meanwhile, the number one team from the Asia Pacific had a similar encounter with FUT Esports, bagging a 13-0 Game 1 win before completing the sweep with a lopsided 13-4 Game 2 victory.

The LOUD-Paper Rex match-up will be on Sunday while LOUD and FUT Esports will take on each other as well in the opening round of the lower bracket on Saturday.
