Fnatic emerged victorious in the VCT LOCK//IN in Brazil, winning against LOUD in an epic comeback that saw them rally from a deficit to take the tournament.

After winning the first two maps, Fnatic seemed poised to take their first VCT international trophy. However, LOUD picked up steam, winning the next two maps and evening the series 2-2.

Things went from bad to worse for Fnatic when they found themselves down 11-3 on the decider map, Icebox. But the European squad rallied, winning nine straight rounds to claim the title.

Despite the thrilling victory, fans noted that the stadium, once packed with spectators, was noticeably empty during the awarding ceremony.

Many criticized the lack of support and respect for the winners, especially since they had defeated a team representing Brazil.

Former CS:GO champion Tarik “tarik” Celik, now part of Sentinels’ content creator team, expressed his disappointment on Twitter, saying, “an empty arena for a trophy lift is simply heartbreaking to see. Let’s do better next time.”

His tweet received mixed reactions, with some agreeing with him and others citing reasons for leaving early, such as the venue being too hot or public transport closing late on weekends.

Fnatic’s win earned the EMEA region an additional slot for Masters Tokyo, and they walked away with the grand prize of US$100,000.

Despite the mixed reactions to the lack of support during the awarding ceremony, the tournament was an exciting and memorable event for fans and players alike.
