Optic Gaming Reigns Over Valorant Masters Reykjavik 2022 Title

Optic Gaming is the new king of Valorant Masters!

Valorant Masters Reykjavik has found its new king under the name of Optic Gaming. The North American squad has made a statement after sweeping LOUD 3-0 in a clean 3-0 manner.

With this, the team now has 750 circuit points and $200,000 in prize money.

The first map was a convincing 13-9 performance for Optic. With Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen going all out with his Omen, Optic managed to make a quick turnaround following a 7-3 deficit. After making a solid performance, Marved and Austin “Crashies” Roberts managed to take the game away from LOUD.

Taking the second game in Bind, LOUD once again tried to make a close game. However, the NA squad once again outclassed the Brazilian squad in overtime, 14-12.

With a stellar performance this time from Jacob “yay” Whitetaker, Optic Gaming managed to steal the game away, taking a 2-0 series lead.

Much of another replay, OPTIC once again took an early lead in map 3. Taking an 8-4 lead in the first half, looking like they’re ready to take the series title.

However, LOUD did not hold down and tried to steal the game from the NA squad. Despite their best effort, LOUD had to give it up following another thrilling OT, 13-15.

Optic Gaming is a relatively new team formed in February. With this powerful run, the team has now marked its name in the Valorant scene.

The team will be preparing to defend its title in the upcoming LAN tournament.
