Gamers8, a leading esports tournament organizer in Saudi Arabia, has revealed that it will be offering a record-breaking prize pool of $45 million for its highly-anticipated 2023 event, titled ‘The Land of Heroes’.
This announcement has officially made it the largest prize pool in the history of esports, surpassing Dota 2’s 2021 International prize pool of $40 million.
The prize pool will be split among a variety of esports titles that will be played during the event.
The names of the titles have yet to be disclosed. However, last year’s event featured some of the most prominent teams and players in Dota 2 and PUBG Mobile.
The Gamers8 festival will take place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and will run for a total of eight weeks, from July to September.
The event will include esports tournaments, numerous activations, concerts, and more, making it an unforgettable experience for esports fans.
