Cr1t, Prepared to Boycott ESL Due To Invites

Cr1t reveals that he, if the organization allowed him, would’ve boycotted ESL for their “strange” invitation for Alliance.

Evil Geniuses might have felt getting disrespect from ESL due to their weird invitation priority. They invited almost all of WEU teams, and also Alliance, that haven’t won a single series in their division.

It seems that fact rubbed Cr1t the wrong way, and during a stream, he claimed that he would’ve boycotted ESL if he had the chance.

Unfortunately, the VOD of his statement were deleted due to some reason. Some speculated that it’s because Cr1t mentioned that EG is now like a “corporate”, no longer a casual team.

But a Reddit user managed to remember his words regarding ESL’s weird invitation for their tournament.

By the statement, it seems Cr1t would’ve boycotted ESL if it’s still his decision to do so. He also mentioned that he would’ve reached out to TSM and QC to boycott the event altogether.

He also added that it wasn’t Alliance’s fault to accept the invitation, although their team is crumbling due to relegation.

Fans reacted positively to his rants on-stream, and agreed with his take about ESL’s invite. They felt that there are many other teams that deserved the invite over Alliance, and even some other teams such as Nigma.

Some also regarded this particular invite to be why DPC is made, since third-party tournaments can mess up over invites like ESL done for their tournament later in Malaysia.
