A Filipino macho dancer is earning a hefty amount of money just by performing at home.

Evo Martin who is famously known as ‘Yum Evo’ in the macho dancing world shared that his earnings through dancing has allowed him to buy himself a house-and-lot.

Farmer by Day, Macho Dancer by Night

Martin is a farmer by day, and a macho dancer by night.

He shared that he was introduced to macho dancing by a friend who asked him if he’s willing to do so. Given the idea that he’d only be doing it through Zoom, Martin did not have any second thought in accepting the offer.

“A friend messaged me, asking if I was willing to perform over Zoom,” he told in an interview.

Martin responded saying that he’s very much willing to do so only if he’d do it at home for safety reasons.

“OK lang basta sasayaw lang ako dito sa loob ng bahay lang, para safety na rin.” (OK given that I’ll only be dancing inside my house, also for safety reasons) he reasoned.

Earn Millions in Macho Dancing

According to Martin, he’s earning up to Php 30,000 per night. He also told that you’ll earn enough money a night just by the tips. This, of course excluding the fixed rate for the performance.

“Sa mga tip pa lang, panalo na. Send niyo muna sa GCash then tsaka ako magsasayaw,” (You’re already winning even with just the tips. I’ll ask them to send money first before I start performing) he shared on the same interview.

Currently, Martin is already able to buy their lot back that’s worth a million in peso. At the same time, Martin funded Php 2 million to build a house in the lot that he bought.

Not only that, Evo is also able to buy himself jewelries which he sees as an investment.

Macho Dancing is Legal

In the Philippines, macho dancing is not illegal. According to Police chief in the country, it only becomes illegal if it’s used for sexual exploitations.

“Nagiging illegal lang siya kung nagsasayaw lang siya ng hubad-hubad na pinipilit siya for the purpose of sexual exploitation. Nakikita ko na magiging violation siya sa batas natin dito sa Pilipinas.” (It only becomes illegal if the dancing is forced for sexual exploitations. There, I think there would be a violation of the law) told the police.
