Covid-19 Superspreader DJ Matoom Is Escaping Summons?

Thai singer Techin Ploypetch (DJ Matoom) is rumored to be escaping summons from the police after he reportedly violated COVID-19 protocols during his birthday party last January.

According to rumors, Ployphet received invitations from the police, and has not been responsive to them.

DJ Matoom, however, has clarified in his instagram account that he is not escaping summons. He’s only finishing his quarantine before he can proceed with the police interview.

“I have to really ask to follow the doctor’s order, because if Toom spreads the infection to the police station, Toom is afraid of being unable to take responsibility.” said his post in his instagram account.

Netizens called out DJ Matoom for holding a birthday bash in the middle of a global pandemic, and said his party is a “superspreader event.”
