In the wake of the recent LCK Summer Finals, tensions have escalated within the League of Legends community as T1 fans took an unconventional approach to express their dissatisfaction.
Following T1’s disappointing 0-3 performance in the lopsided finals against Gen.G, one player, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, found himself at the center of the storm.
Gumayusi’s role in the final series drew the ire of some fans who orchestrated a noteworthy protest – sending trucks adorned with derisive messages to T1’s headquarters.
One message read, “hope the player’s trash talks are as aggressive as their damage/gold,” while another quipped, “all champions you play except Xayah are as effective as a toothpick.”
Despite the animosity, an opportunity for unity approaches as both T1 and Gen.G players gear up to represent the Republic of South Korea in the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
