South Korean police have stationed officers at T1’s offices following death threats targeting their star player, Faker.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency received a report on August 11 about these threats, which were made on August 10 by an anonymous user on the Korean forum DC Inside.
The user threatened to harm Faker with a weapon at T1’s dormitory.
To address the situation, increased security measures have been announced for the Summer playoffs and upcoming Regional Finals of the LCK.
This alarming incident coincides with a series of mass stabbing attacks across South Korea, leading to arrests of individuals who posted online threats specifying the time and location of their intended assaults.
