Beastcoast has parted ways with Héctor “K1” Rodríguez, the team announced last Monday.
The South American organization said that parting ways with their long-time carry was ‘a difficult decision.’
“Today we’ve made a difficult but mutual decision to part ways with an incredible player and teammate, Hector,” said beastcoast in a post.
“Thank you for being a pillar of strength and inspiration for not only Beastcoast, but the Dota 2 community. Wishing you a bright future ahead.”

K1 joined the team in 2019 and led the team to multiple titles in Division I of the South America Dota Pro Circuit. He also played a key role in bringing the team to The International 2021 where they finished 13th-6th.
However, the 22-year-old Peruvian missed the rest of the Tour 3 after going through mental health problems.
Beastcoast recently finished second in the last and final tour of the 2023 DPC season with David “Parker” Nicho Flores standing in as carry.
The team has yet to announce if who will play as their carry in the Bali Major.
