Xepher, Whitemon First Indonesians to Make TI Debut

Competing in the international scene is always any local’s dream. Doing so is the biggest dream for a Dota 2 pro as the biggest tournament is called The International in itself.

The International is taking a resume this year after the tournament got postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. This time, the competition got tougher for teams are competing to get DPC points required for TI direct invite.

One of the stages where teams can get DPC points is by doing well in the Majors. For the ongoing AniMajor, one team was able to secure a ticket by doing so.

Xepher, Whitemon First Indonesians to Make TI Debut

The fairly new Dota 2 team T1 is looking like one of the teams to beat. The team just got themselves a closer shot to a Major championship as the team secured a semi-finals. Aside from moving to secure their semis, T1 also shocked the world after the team got a TI 10 direct invite.

T1 swept Team Aster, 2-0, gifting the team their TI appearance dream.

The said wonderful feat for the SEA representatives is also a proud moment for the Indonesians.

This momentous achievement is the first for Indonesia as Whitemon and Xepher will be representing the country in TI 10.

Additionally, this will also be T1’s first ever The International appearance. T1 is famous for taking a focus on their League of Legends team, hence making this Dota 2 achievement a big one for the organization.

Despite taking an early victory in the AniMajor, the squad still has a long way to go as the team will be facing the American giant in Quincy Crew.
