Filipinos rejoice!
Based on TNC’s performance in the currently ongoing Dota Pro Circuit Season 2 in Southeast Asia, the all-Filipino team has the highest probability of getting the elusive direct invite for the up and coming The International 10 which will be held in Sweden in August.
According to Ben “Noxville” Steenhuisen, Dota 2 statistician, TNC Predator is sitting at a 58.07% chance of finishing in the top 12 of the 2021 DPC rankings which could be the highest among all SEA teams.
This probability is quite surprising as TNC did not even qualify in the Singapore Major where OB Neon, also a Philippine team, performed as a dark horse.
Following their poor performance in the previous tournaments, TNC overhauled their roster and kicked out non-Filipino players Kpii and Febby which were eventually replaced by Bok and Boomy, both are full-blooded Filipinos.
Evidently, the roster change appears to have worked wonders for the team as they are performing as the top team to beat in the currently ongoing DPC Season 2, SEA Region with their 4-1 win-loss standing.
TNC currently has the highest chance of getting a direct invite to TI10 for SEA. Noxville’s calculations suggest that TNC Predator has a 58.07% chance of securing a direct invite to TI10. Meanwhile, Fnatic and OB.Neon are trailing with 43.78% and 38.27% chances respectively.
Currently, TNC sits on a 72.25 DPC points. Placing top 1 in today’s DPC Season 2 will hand them 500 DPC points which will boost them to a 572.25 DPC points. Their performance in the upcoming Major will be the determining factor in their direct invite, considering that TNC is the top performing team, besting OB.Neon and Fnatic in the team power rankings.
Changes in the calculations however are possible should the team fail to finish strong in DPC.
