Influencers Nikki and Dan Phillippi Cancelled Adoption in Thailand Because Baby Can’t Appear on Social Media

This couple could just be looking for a money making baby.

In 2018, YouTuber couple Nikki and Dan Phillippi filed an adoption for a baby from Thailand which they recently withdrew upon knowing that they will not be allowed to put the child on social media on its first year due to legal concerns.

The couple’s withdrawal drew flak from netizens, with most saying that they are literally horny for fame.

Before the controversy, the couple had gone viral last week after allegedly putting down their dog Bowser after it bit their son.

Following social media outcry, the couple released a video which served as an explainer to their situation regarding the adoption which traces back three years ago.

Apparently, the influencers were taken aback upon knowing that they will not be allowed to show their supposedly adopted child on social media.

“After you pick up your child, they are your child but you are not allowed to talk about them or share any images, photos, videos, anything about them online for a year,” told Nikki.

“I mean Nikki’s got a YouTube channel and we share a whole lot,” Dann added, adding fuel into the fire as it insinuates that they were looking forward to capitalize on the baby through their channel.

“What are we gonna do? Dan’s like, ‘Maybe we could deal with that for a year?” a confused Nikki told.

“We’re like alright, let’s pray about it, let’s sleep on it and then let’s see how we feel in the morning,” she continued to explain.

“So you know, the kid’s gonna be living in our house for a year and it’s not about all time not our kid so yeah we’re not okay with that either.” told the couple.

The couple fully went back from their plans after talking through the process with her close friends and assistant Melissa where they ended up deciding that adopting a child from Thailand may not be for them.

Also in 2018, Nikki and Dan withdrew from adopting in Korea, alleging that an agency told them they would not be easily approved due to their social media presence.

What a thirst for clout! Yikes!
