Valorant Introduces Replication Mode, But Fans May Not Like it

Riot Games, as the publisher of the game Valorant, is reported to have just added a new game mode to its game. This game was introduced with the new “replication” mode. What makes this game mode feel even more unique? What is Riot trying to present to give the latest refresh to its fans?

In essence, being in this mode allows agents to replicate the capabilities of other agents. However, this may also mean that more than one player can use the same agent. As an illustration, in the 12-second teaser video uploaded through the official Riot Games account, you can see the ability of Brimestones, set in A Sites Map Breeze, to use smoke bombs. It appears that the capabilities of these Brimestones exceed what was previously possible.

Then it’s dangerous, if the player can imitate the abilities of any agent, then the whole map will be in chaos, for example the Raze agent is able to send dozens of Boom Bots and the Sova agent is able to launch Shock Darts on all maps.

So far, only the teaser can be used as a reference to guess how the gameplay of the Replication mode is. Not much information is available considering Riot Games itself has yet to issue any official press release regarding the gameplay mode.

Will this Replication Mode work as expected? It could be double-edged. If Riot Games doesn’t combine all the replication elements properly, the game won’t feel tense because it could just be a joke. Not to mention that this replication will make the players frustrated too because there will be so many flashes throughout the game. It will be interesting to see how Riot Games manages to balance the mode and what kind of restrictions there are when it comes to the use of abilities for certain agents.

As for the release date itself, there is still no official release date that can be confirmed. However, it is estimated that the Replication Mode will appear in the near future via the Valorant Patch 2.09 update.
