Valorant Kicks Off with a Bang in Vietnam

The qualifying round with 32 Valorant teams is taking place all over Vietnam, the first professional esports tournament of the game.

On April 6, the publisher VNG officially released the popular 5v5 tactical FPS game in Vietnam. And to prepare for the Valorant Esports roadmap, VNG also decided to open registration for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Challengers Stage 2 tournament from March 26, with the desire to find excellent teams to compete for national championships, as well as the chance to compete in international arena.

After completing the registration phase, the tournament organizers also found 32 teams to enter the qualifying round, which lasted will run from April 9 to April 16, 2021. There are some names such as Steal Your Glory (SYG), DXG or Cerberus Esports. As a rule, teams will have to compete according to BO3 Double Elimination (winning branch – losing arm). In addition, all players must be 18 years old and will compete online at three locations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

The 12 highest performing Valorant teams after qualifying will win the right to the Valorant Champions Tour 2021: Vietnam Challengers Stage 2, with a total prize money of up to 530 million VND. Here, the teams will compete for the national championship, as well as the opportunity to represent the Vietnamese region in the Valorant Champions Tour 2021: SEA Challengers Stage 2 arena.
