Neon’s sub Rappy gets subbed-out days after he was tagged as a replacement for the team’s carry, Natsumi.

The Filipino team has announced through their social media pages that they have ruled-out their substitute player Raphael “Rappy” Palo in the Singapore Major’s remainder after the player’s exposure with someone who tested positive of COVID-19.

“Rappy tested before he came to camp, was tested again before he was allowed to fly, was tested when he landed, and was also tested at the hotel. All four tests were negative. Rappy’s flights were booked separately to the rest of the team,” Neon’s CEO explained in their statement.

The organization also explained that they have ruled-out the player as a precautionary measure, this despite testing negative four times.

Due to this scenario, Rappy is now unfit to play for the rest of Singapore Major and will be replaced by Singaporean player Yang “Deth” Wu.

The team is now working on the big adjustments after moving up from the wildcard to the lower-bracket of the tournament.
