Ch4knu Used His One-Season Break To Focus on Personal Growth

Omega Esports’ Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog has shared insights into how he utilized his one-season break to focus on personal growth and development.

“Balak ko lang talaga magpahinga tapos babalik na next season. Pahinga lang talaga. Nung [nag-break ako], nasa bahay lang ako, lagi lang akong nag-iisip. Kumbaga, naisip ko nga yung mga sinabi nila,” said Ch4knu.

Ch4knu has faced scrutiny regarding his work ethic in previous seasons, prompting a period of reflection and self-improvement. This time off allowed him to reconsider his approach to his professional career and address concerns that were raised about his commitment.

“Kumbaga, tinatanggap na niya ng buo na kailangan niyang mag-extra effort para mapunta kami doon sa spot na nasa taas ulit kami. Naiisip na niya yung mga ganung bagay,” shared E2max.

His teammates, Patrick “E2max” Caidic and Duane “Kelra” Pillas, have observed a notable transformation in Ch4knu’s attitude and dedication.

“Nag-mature siya nang sobra. Kasi dati kapag sinasabihan mo, laging sumasagot. Mahirap talaga sabihan. Pero ngayon kita naman sa kanya yung mga pagbabago saka mas pinagiigihan niya na magtrabaho,” added Kelra.

Ch4knu’s growth is evident through his newfound receptiveness to feedback and his intensified work ethic.
