Omega Esports Signs Ribo As Ch4knu, E2max Return

Omega Esports made one of the biggest acquisitions in the off-season, signing former Bren Esports star CJ “Ribo” Ribo for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 12, the team announced on Thursday night.

Ribo last played in the MPL PH back in Season 8 with Bren Esports. He previously suited up for ZOL Esports in the inaugural MDL Philippines Season earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the pair of Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog and Patrick “E2max” Caidic finally made their much-anticipated return to the lineup after sitting out the previous season. The former took a break while the latter served as the team’s assistant coach in Season 11.

Completing the squad are former ONIC PH EXP laner Nowee “Ryota” Macasa, ex-Team Lunatix gold laner Jomari “Jowm” Pingol, and rookies Andreww “Andoryuuuu” Flora and Ezekiel “Spideeey” Cauilan.

Omega Esports also welcomed a new head coach in former Wild Rift star Ronel “Stronger” Tan.

The team lost coach Jomie “Pakbet” Abalos and Renz “Renzio” Cadua to MPL Cambodia’s Team Max during the off-season.
