The world of esports, particularly the realm of Dota 2, is in a constant state of flux as different regions vie for supremacy.
Amidst this dynamic landscape, Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov from Nigma Galaxy has shared his perspective on the current state of Dota 2 competition.
Despite acknowledging the growing prowess of other regions, MinD_ContRoL believes that Western Europe remains the unparalleled monarch of Dota 2, while also appreciating the rising strength of other regions.
“In my opinion, Western Europe still has the best Dota but I think all the regions are catching up. So, it’s nice to see that it’s not only Western Europe for the whole year and other regions are getting better,” said the veteran offlaner.

MinD_ContRoL also said that Nigma Galaxy does not have any preference on which region they want to face.
“We do not have any preference. We like playing against all teams, we practice against any team but we can learn from every region. There are different playstyles,” he said.
MinD_ContRoL’s sentiments about the state of Dota 2 echo the sentiments of many players, analysts, and fans. The growing competitiveness of various regions ensures that no single region can remain complacent.
Western Europe’s status as the King of Dota 2 may remain steadfast, but it does so in a context of evolving competition and an ever-shifting balance of power.
So far, Gamin Gladiators – one of Western Europe’s prized possessions – have won all three Majors in the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit and will enter The International 12 as the clear-cut favorite.
