Onic Esports ended Indonesia’s title drought in international MLBB competitions after taking down Blacklist International, 4-2 to rule the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup on Sunday, June 18 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The Sky Kings dominated the former world champions from the Philippines to cop Indonesia’s first international title since 2019 or since the EVOS Legends won the M1 world championship. Onic Esports also only became the two-time champion in the regional tournament having also won the title in MSC 2019.

The crew also ended a long standing dominance of Filipino teams in the international stage after they won the last three world titles and the last two MSC crowns.

The achievement wouldn’t be possible if not for the stellar performance of Nicky “Kiboy” Fernando who was adjudged as the Finals MVP.

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol also proved to be the biggest thorn to the side of Blacklist International as he put on the finishing touches in the finale with impressive showing on his Fanny pick. The win also gave the Filipino import his first taste of International title together with Filipino head coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda.

Onic Esports bagged the MSC title along with the 140,000 USD top prize while Blacklist which settled for its second runner-up finish in the tournament is bringing home 60,000 USD.
