Burn X Flash, Blacklist Set Up Semis Clash in MSC

History was made on the first day of MSC 2023. Home team Burn X Flash successfully defended the Khmer Kingdom after dominating its match against Singapore’s RSG Slate SG via a 3:0 sweep. 

This makes Burn X Flash the first-ever Cambodian squad to secure at least 4th place in any global MLBB esports tournament including the M World Championship series. 

Close to 2,000 offline spectators witnessed the Khmer squad’s resounding victory, which took place in AEON Mall 3 Mean Chey, Phnom Penh. 

“I feel happy because it’s my first time making it this far with the team. I feel proud of this achievement,” said gold laner Mariusz “DONUT” Tan who played a crucial role in propelling the team to victory. 

On the other hand, Blacklist International capped the day off with another flawless finish against their sister team Fireflux Impunity. 

The lone non-Southeast Asia team from Türkiye has officially ended their MSC 2023 run but got a heartfelt message from Blacklist team captain Jonmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna.

“I really respect Fireflux Impunity that’s why we gave our 100% in the match. To my sister Badgalseph, I hope to see you in M5. Good luck on your journey.”

Tomorrow, the Philippines’ pride ECHO will duke it out against Malaysia’s power squad Todak in an opener. It will be followed by the riveting match between Indonesia’s teams ONIC and EVOS Legends that will determine which Indonesian squad will advance to the Semis.
