Kairi Says Fans Who Bash His Teammates Know Nothing About ML:BB

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol defended his teammates following ONIC Esports’ big win in the 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Sanz “Sanz” Gilang, Calvin “CW” Winata, Nicky “Kiboy” Fernando, and Muhammad “Butsss” Sanubari all drew flak from the Filipino ML:BB community when they underperformed during the M4 World Championships in Indonesia last January.

Fans were quick to point out that Kairi was carrying the team by himself.

But after winning their third championship as a team, Kairi finally broke his silence and defended his teammates from their bashers.

“Ano po e, yung mga taong nagsasabi niyan tingin ko po walang alam sa ML e, sa esports,” said Kairi.

“Kahit saang sports po, kahit saang laro hindi naman po kasi ‘to chess na 1 v 1 lang e. Kumbaga teamwork talaga e, ‘di nila alam yung nangyayari outside the game, sa practice, sa shotcall, kumbaga kung pano yung flow ng laro,” ne added.

Kairi also shared that at times when he’s the one who is underperforming, his teammates are always there to help him bounce back.

“Lahat po kami nagtutulungan e, kung may isa pong naga-underperform, kunwari ako po nag-underperform po ako sa isang game, bubuhatin po ako ng kakampi ko,” he continued.
