Indonesian caster Mirko finds himself in a difficult situation that has caused a significant backlash.
Recently, he made an announcement that his Instagram account was suspended after allegedly being mass reported by Indonesian fans.
This incident occurred following Mirko’s involvement in drawing EVOS Legends to face ONIC Esports in the first stage of the knockout stage, which means that one Indonesian team will be eliminated en route to the second round.
During a livestream, Mirko apologized to Indonesian fans for something that was beyond his control.
However, his apology did not appease the fans, and he faced a barrage of online hate. The situation escalated further when his Instagram account was banned.
In the midst of the controversy, several individuals, including PH caster Rockhart, came to Mirko’s defense.
Rockhard compared fans’ anger towards Mirko to someone getting upset at a random occurrence, emphasizing that it was merely a coincidence.
Meanwhile, the MSC 2023 knockout stage is set to commence later today. The first match between BURN X Flash and RSG Slate SG is scheduled for 2 p.m., while Blacklist International will be facing Fire Flux Impunity at 6 p.m.
