ONIC, ECHO Victorious After Day 1 of MSC 2023

Day One of MSC 2023 saw ECHO, ONIC, and EVOS leading the pack by storm with a superb finish on their respective Group series.

Notably, the three “animals” were relentless in securing wins at the top of the leaderboards.

While ONIC was seen to have some jitters in Game 1 of their match, they overcame it through excellent execution with Kiboy’s Chou, which was able to counter home team Burn x Flash’s Diggie late-game setup.

ONIC was not the only team without its jitters either – M4 Champs ECHO also suffered the same issue but with a different perspective. As highlighted by Coach TicTac in a post-match interview, the PH Orcas understood that they would be heavily scrutinized and “targeted” for MSC 2023, making it much harder for them to rise to the top.

EVOS, traditionally known to be a slow starter, made a surprise 1-2 finish against Fenix. The White Tigers proved they are well and truly back in the international scene with their respective power picks – Lancelot (Tazz) and Yu Zhong (Saykots).

Tomorrow’s series is led by Group D, with a highly anticipated kick-off match featuring TODAK (Malaysia) vs. Team Occupy (MENA).
