SOURCES: Team Secret Set To Take Over Orange Esports’ MPL MY Slot

Orange Esports has officially withdrawn its participation in the MPL Malaysia, the organization announced last Thursday.

In an official statement, Orange Esports said that their focus has always been at the grassroots level. And now that the league has finally grown, the organization bared that they have already reached their purpose which is why they are officially pulling out from MPL MY.

“Orange Esports has always been for the Grassroots to blossom. We’ve been very privileged to have pioneered many firsts as an organisation and provided many firsts to all our former players under our wings. As the industry grew, so has our purpose,” opened the team’s statement.

“Our time in the MPL has been long and fruitful, collecting many accolades along the way, but the time has come for us to once again allow for more significant firsts to improve the scene and take the industry to new heights,” the statement continued.

Orange Esports has competed in the last six MPL MY seasons, garnering one silver finish and four third place finishes throughout their stay in Malaysia’s premier ML:BB league.

“That being said, allow us to respectfully excuse ourselves from MPL MY and hereby forfeit our invite to play for the next season. The league will go on, and in place, Orange Esports and the official team at Moonton will be working towards finding a worthy Organisation to play in our place. “A legacy isn’t built by one man alone, but by others who takes up after him,” said the statement.

According to Hyprgame’s sources, esports powerhouse Team Secret is set to take over the slot vacated by Orange Esports. An announcement will be made in a couple of days.

MPL Malaysia has yet to officially announce Team Secret’s participation in the MPL Malaysia Season 11 but the league has already been posting hints about the move.
