OG Carry Yuragi to Stand-in for HellRaisers at Lima Major

OG carry Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev will be joining HellRaisers as a stand-in for the Lima Major in Peru, the organization said on Friday.

This comes two weeks after Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin’s departure, which sparked controversy after the former HellRaisers said that he was removed despite helping the team qualify for the major.

HellRaisers held tryouts with notable players such as former NaVi Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey, former Nigma Galaxy core Igor “iLTW” Filatov, and former Virtus pro Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev. However, the organization went for the 21-year-old OG star in the end.

“What could be better than a Major winner in the team? Exactly! Two Major winners in the team,” the organization wrote.

This will be a big boost for the Eastern European squad, as Yuragi is known for spearheading OG to win ESL One Stockholm 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022.

OG will also have no issue loaning out its carry, as it failed to qualify for the Lima Major after a drawn-out three-way tiebreaker series in the DPC WEU Tour: Division 1 with Tundra Esports and Entity, which saw them losing the opportunity to compete in the major.

With the signing, HellRaisers is now composed of Yuragi, Gleb “depressed kid” Zyryanov, Matvey “MieRo” `Vasyunin, Vladislav “Antares” Kertman, and Alexey “Solo” Berezin.

The Lima Major will run from February 22 to March 5. The winner will receive the lion’s share of the $500,000 prize pool and a total of 1,900 DPC points.
