In a surprising turn of events, HellRaisers has announced that they will be parting ways with their Dota 2 roster.
This decision comes on the heels of the team’s recent qualification in the Berlin Major, which saw them dominate the DPC EEU division.
The statement was posted on the organization’s official Facebook page.
“Over the past year, the management team and players under the HellRaiser tag have achieved quite a few good results, despite numerous difficulties. We have decided to stop using the tag as the organization is not ready to be active in esports.”
The announcement has left many in the Dota 2 community shocked and puzzled.
HellRaisers has been a formidable force in the competitive scene for quite some time, and their recent success in the DPC EEU division seemed to signal that they were on the rise once again.
“The roster of the team, including the management, will remain unchanged. We will be glad if you continue to support the team and follow the news on personal social networks of the players.”
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the HellRaisers roster and management team.
There has been no word yet on whether another organization will pick them up or if they will continue to compete under a new tag.
