Polaris Esports disbanded their Dota roster and complained about getting their players being ‘stolen’ by big organizations ever since their DPC run.

As a small organization, Polaris quickly found out the difficulty of competing against the “big” organizations. Their roster, although shining, was quickly put out with their players leaving the team immediately after the 2022 DPC.

Polaris complained that their players were ‘stolen’ by the big organization. They also resent the fact that they cannot do anything to prevent it.

The announcement was first seen on their official Twitter account. They were announcing that, with a heavy heart, the players of their team were “mutually separating” from the team.

Although they wish the best for their former players, a more in-depth look can be read from their Facebook post.

Polaris went deeper with their announcement in the Facebook post which had a bigger coverage. They made a complaint about how the organization cannot go toe to toe with the financial capabilities of larger, established organizations.

As such, their players were getting offers that were “out of reach”, and even had them wanting to try out different environments. Therefore, Polaris made it clear that they were willing to part ways with their players due to these facts.

However, they were not discounting the fact that they would still stick in the Dota scene. They were still “observing” players and talents with potential, and looking to begin their journey again in the DPC.
