Evil Geniuses confirmed the latest rumors by releasing their North American roster. This, despite achieving good results during the DPC.

As the “face” of North American Dota, nobody expected the latest rumor of Evil Geniuses disbanding to be true. However, turns out the factuality of the rumor was confirmed as the team let out a short statement.

Now, Evil Geniuses had let go of their roster in North America and would be looking towards the South America region.

In a short social media tweet, Evil Geniuses thanked their whole Dota roster. From Abed to the coach himself Bulba, they appreciated the fact that the roster had been together for a long time.

Especially names such as Arteezy and Cr1t who had become mainstays of the roster and “face” of EG itself.

The current CEO of Evil Geniuses, Nicole LaPointe Jameson, confirmed the rumor of Evil Geniuses moving to South America. While she did not directly confirm which roster they would be taking over, she insisted that EG would not be going anywhere “soon”. They will be sticking to Dota as their main esports title.

The question remains for the remnants of the former EG, who were now teamless.

Although it was bittersweet, one of the former players, Cr1t, let his intention of staying in NA known. He has already found home in NA after moving into the region 6 years ago. He was more than willing to fight for his place in the area, rather than move elsewhere.

The rumors were spreading that Cr1t would be sticking with Arteezy to find a new sponsor for their team.
