BTS (Beyond The Summit) will no longer host Dota tournaments after a series of disappointments towards Valve.

Another controversy happened between Valve and tournament organizers, although it was “expected”. BTS (Beyond The Summit), announced through Twitter that they might be done with Dota for “forseeable future”.

The main cause for this split was Valve’s decision to not grant the organizers any tournament coverage for the next season.

“Out not with a bang but a whimper,” read LD, BTS’ co-founder told.

LD, who is also a former Dota caster, made a video about the organizer’s compilation. He also explained that he has “no idea” about the future of their working relationship with both Valve and Dota.

His next tweets explained more about the things that were happening “backstage”.

LD went on to explain that it was a sad and terrible day for him to announce the “split”. He even went as far as saying that he’s unsure whether they will continue doing Dota content in the future.

For now, it seems BTS will be focusing on other competitive titles under their belt, which they have done so recently.

There were mixed receptions from the fans. Some felt that it was well-deserved how BTS lost its spot for the DPC. They felt BTS hasn’t been producing the best content, and their productions have been subpar.

On the other hand, some fans were also sentimental due to the fact that BTS has existed since the earliest inception of Dota. Many legendary tournaments such as The Summit were produced by them.
