Team Secret Qualifies to TI11 After a Long Campaign

Team Secret made it out of Last Chance Qualifier as the first team to qualify after an exciting match against Virtus.pro.

After a long campaign to qualify from 2022 DPC up to the Last Chance Qualifier, Team Secret finally qualified for The International 11. Although they were denied in both DPC and WEU Qualifier, Secret strikes back in the LCQ.

The countless roster changes were finally paying off with the team’s sky-high chemistry during the whole LCQ.

The first game of the match was a back-and-forth thriller between the two teams as they were evenly matched. VP was leading in gold although it was in a small amount only. However, Team Secret managed to keep up with VP’s aggressive gameplay.

There was skepticism initially whether Sniper was the right hero to contend against Ramzes’ Luna. The trust was paid off in the final moments of the match, with Crystallis sniping Ramzes from the backline.

The sniping moment earned Team Secret the win after 44 minutes of intense clashes. Secret leads by one game.

The first game didn’t phase VP’s trust in Luna and proceeded to pick it for Ramzes again. This time, Secret picked Lina for Nisha to counter Luna with great success. Nisha hunted Ramzes with his pure magic build and was able to “delete” Ramzes from 100 to 0 in every fight.

With VP constantly fighting without their carry, the progression of their team was hindered. Gpk’s Tuskar wasn’t able to create enough space at the end for Ramzes to farm safely.

After another disastrous team fight at the top rax, VP calls it, and GG’ed out at the 28th minute. Team Secret qualifies for The International 11.

With this result, VP will now await the winner of Team Liquid vs Vici Gaming in the Lower Bracket Final. Many expected Team Liquid to meet VP in the next stage.

However, Vici Gaming will prove to be tricky against the WEU contender as they were on fire during their matches yesterday.
