TI11 Qualifier SA: Relegated Hokori Surprises Infamous

Another upset happened in the TI11 Qualifier, this time from South America with Infamous losing to the relegated team, Hokori.

Nobody expected Hokori to remain in the TI11 Qualifier after getting relegated from DPC SA Division 1. Surprisingly, they managed to qualify directly to TI11 after defeating the region’s favorite, Infamous.

However, what’s more surprising is that Hokori gained a victory with a clean sweep of 3-0 against Infamous.

Hokori held out quite well in the first game to buy time for their Terrorblade to farm his items. While Infamous tried hard to push the lanes, Hokori outmaneuvered them with Ember Spirit and Enigma.

As a result, Hokori starts to dominate the map in the 38th minute and won the game in the 45th minute.

The second game of the match became a classic combo for Hokori as they picked Omniknight and Huskar. The two heroes work perfectly well in dictating the tempo of the match, buying time for their Sven to come online.

Infamous almost managed to get a comeback at the 32nd minute. However, Hokori stayed compact and won the game in the 40th minute, leading by two games.

The third game became a thriller as comebacks happened for both teams. Infamous managed to pick the overpowered Faceless Void in the current meta, which allowed them to win teamfights. However, Hokori answered the Faceless Void problem with Doom.

Infamous almost managed to win the game when they tried to take the throne at the end of the game. However, Hokori was aware of the threat and managed to isolate the Faceless Void before he can cast Chronosphere to secure the victory.

With their carry dying without buyback, Infamous called GG at the 52nd minute, giving Hokori the chance to shine in TI11.
