China Server Releases Necrophos Anime Persona

With the autonomy they have, the China Server of Dota released cute anime girl Persona for Necrophos yesterday, September 8.

Since Perfect World was operating the China server of Dota, they have the autonomy to make their own content. This was reflected in their latest content, which was the Necrophos Persona.

The item turns Necrophos into a cute anime girl, which received mixed responses from the players.

The discovery was found in one of the Reddit threads, revealing the persona. The model itself looks almost high-quality, although not on par with Valve’s usual standard.

Due to the missing sound, it cannot be confirmed yet whether they have custom voices too or not for the persona.

Players have mixed reactions to the persona itself, with some of them being negative about it. They mentioned that this will Dota look like if Riot or Epic Games were the ones operating the game.

On the other hand, there were also opinions that the Dragon Knight anime persona should be a standard for future Persona items.

However, it seems the model cannot be freely used in normal games on the China server. It seems it was made exclusively for the official custom mode, “OMG 4+2”.

Many hoped the model itself would not cross over to the normal games in the China server.
