Team Spirit Condemns Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Team Spirit, TI10 winners from Russia, strongly condemned their country’s attack on Ukraine. Respect for Team Spirit!

Russia’s attack on Ukraine has attracted attention from various parts of the world, even from their own people. One of them is the esports organization from Russia that won TI10, Team Spirit. The champion did not hesitate to condemn Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

In fact, there is a big risk for Team Spirit as well as other Russian organizations if they condemn the attack on Ukraine.

They released this statement on various social media, including vk which functions like Facebook in Russia. Team Spirit seems to have carefully worded their statement, simply condemning “war” and saying many parts of their team, including the players, are from Ukraine.

Apparently, this is one of their efforts to remain able to criticize indirectly to avoid unwanted events.

Team Spirit fans and Dota 2 players also praised Team Spirit’s brave actions. In fact, when they won TI10, they received congratulations directly from Vladimir Putin. This of course also has the potential to endanger the team, even though the statement has been carefully written.
