Owen “ODPixel” Davies, one of fans’ favorite casters, announced on Twitter that he will be missing the AniMajor due to health concerns.

According to the caster, he won’t be onsite for the Major due to ‘some health stuff’ which he specified was not COVID.

“Unfortunately I won’t be onsite in Ukraine for the major, as I have some health stuff(not covid) that I’m getting some examinations for here in NL, and with the current travel quarantine requirements I am unable to fly back and forth in time to do both.” he told on Twitter.

Despite not being able to appear onsite, the caster told that he would still be casting the game remotely.

“Hopefully nothing to worry about, just something I need to get checked sooner than later to be safe. I have the hospital appointment in a week and a bit. You WILL still catch me casting some games remotely on the mainstream. And this major will be great! Games will be amazing!<3” he added.

Owen explained that his reason was a ‘needed check-up’ which he needed to have sooner. He also explained that the check-up was already booked ahead of time.

ODPixel is among the 17 English talents that Valve invited to the event. Owen is famous for being the rapgod of casting as he has the capability to swiftly narrate all that’s happening in a clash with clarity.

Being the favorite in the industry, fans and colleagues alike expressed their support for the caster.
