How unprofessional?

DreamHack Dota through Twitter released an effective memo which reverted in-game rule change where coaches can communicate with the team in-game. This, without sending an email to notify teams about said crucial change.

“At the start of the DreamLeague S15 DPC WEU, we modified the following rule regarding coaching and team communication to better follow what we are doing for online competitions in other games, which allowed coaches to participate in team communication during gameplay.” DreamLeague expounded on their ‘memo’.

“As of Today, this rule will be reverted back based upon guidance from Valve as this does not align with their stance of coaching. This update will not impact previous results or matches.” the post told dated May 12.

This action taken by the organizers did not sit well with teams, and casters who replied their sentiments on the same tweet.

A very pissed Team Secret simply replied with a sarcastic tweet saying, “Tweet > mail, it’s official” implying that DreamHack did not do their job professionally.

N0tail on the other hand who has been very vocal on the issue responded with a tweet of his own saying, ‘I accept NoMail,’ which implied ambiguity with regard their team’s compliance with the change.

Meanwhile Ceb, offlaner of OG, tweeted a link of his lengthy response regarding the issue where he claimed that ESL poorly communicated the changes.

“To my knowledge, Alliance is the only team to use that feature ( if it is even meant to be one ), because it has always been forbidden. So was that golden rule meant to be broken over a simple email sent by an ESL employee, maybe. But I have a hard time believing that even Alliance themselves buy that version of the story. To me it simply look like using everything usable to your advantage, and that is fair, even if I have very little respect for that way of handling things.” he told.

Apart from such concerns, Dota 2 in Europe seem to be in chaos as other players are also raising their concerns about the unfair games that preceded the issue.

Meanwhile, Nikobaby, carry of Alliance, aired his concern on Twitter as well. In one of his tweets, he replied to N0tail where he flagged the pro for calling him and his team bunch of pussies.

“You’re calling us pussies and cheaters even though u have no clue about the rules. You are one great example how one of the “greatest” dota players should act” his tweet read.

Meanwhile, as WEU region is having a disaster, NA seem to be having some great time as Evil Geniuses has already secured a seat in the up and coming The International 10 which will proceed on August in Sweden.
