All Team Liquid Members Praise SumaiL. Is Boxi in Danger?

Team Liquid looks like it has returned to its prime. After Samuel “Boxi” Svahn’s decision to deactivate and take a break in the world of Dota 2, Team Liquid is struggling to find the right person to replace Boxi.

The void left by Boxi made the Team Liquid lineup not enough to enter the battlefield. If you make a wrong decision, Team Liquid must be ready to fall into the West European DPC 2021 season 2. Especially considering that Team Liquid is currently in the top 3 in the West European DPC 2021 season 2, the spotlight that Team Liquid gets will be heavier.

Following up on this, Team Liquid decided to make changes to their Dota 2 roster. Last week, Team Liquid officially brought in new players to strengthen their team at the DPC West Europe 2021 season 2. It was Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan who was chosen to fill the void of the team that Boxi had just left.

The replacement for Boxi’s position by SumaiL certainly drew the attention of the public. Not a few are worried that Sumail will become a burden for Team Liquid because he cannot balance his skills with Boxi. However, the player who had tasted the world title, The International, turned out to be able to ward off public concerns.

Debut itself is arguably very sweet because it ended the match with a narrow victory against Brame with a score of 2-1. He showed his quality in a decisive game where he used Puck to secure 15 kills without getting killed. Suddenly SumaiL’s various praises “The King” immediately echoed the internet media.

This is of course the spotlight of Blitz, as Team Liquid’s Dota 2 coach who directly monitors the star’s game. “SumaiL is fantastic. I mean, we’re lucky to have this guy. We knew we might need him, contacted him a few months ago. He’s really easy (contactable). He’s just phenomenal. To be honest, I would really be surprised if he did not get the chance to be in the top team,” said Blitz.

Then what about Boxi? With SumaiL’s presence, will SumaiL permanently replace him? Maybe like the saying “it’s all sweet after being thrown away,” it doesn’t rule out the possibility that Team Liquid will make SumaiL permanent in the team. If this happens, maybe Boxi will not only take a break but really part ways with Dota 2.

Until now Blitz had only said that Boxi would be given as much time as he needed to rest and return to the team whenever he wanted. Regardless of whatever achievements Team Liquid has successfully achieved with SumaiL, Boxi is still the team’s priority.
