Xtreme Gaming Sends Team Aster To Lower Bracket in TI Qualifiers

Xtreme Gaming sent Team Aster down the lower bracket, 2-1, to advance to the upper bracket finals of The International 2023 China Qualifier, Saturday.

Guo “Xm” Hongcheng took charge in Xtreme Gaming’s opening 29-12 win over Team Aster. He tallied nine kills and 10 assists against two deaths Outworld Destroyer while Ding “Dy” Cong had a 9-5-10 line on Techies.

Team Aster returned the favor in Game 2, scoring a lopsided 29-5 victory to send the series to a Game 3.

Syed “SumaiL” Hassan made sure that his team would live to fight and tallied 13 kills and 13 assists against three deaths on Ember Spirit while Yu “皮球” Yajun registered seven kills and 15 assists against one death in the win.

With the upper bracket finals slot on the line, Daniel “Ghost” Chan stepped up when it mattered the most and propelled Xtreme Gaming to a tightly-contested 26-12 Game 3 victory over Team Aster.

The 25-year-old carry finished with nine kills and 10 assists against one death on Bloodseeker in the all-important victory.

Xtreme Gaming will take on Azure Ray in the upper bracket finale tomorrow, Sunday while Team Aster will face off against the winner of the Holy Grail-Team Bright match in the lower bracket quarterfinals.
