9Pandas Survives Team Aster to Advance in Riyadh Masters

9Pandas completed a tough 2-1 win over Team Aster to advance to the lower bracket quarterfinals of the Riyadh Masters 2023, Saturday at the Boulevard Riyadh City.

The European squad was nothing but dominant in Game 1, scoring a 24-6 win in just 30 minutes of action to draw first blood against the Chinese team.

Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov spearheaded the opening win after tallying a neat 11-1-9 KDA line on Invoker while Matvey “MieRo`” Vasyunin’s (Lycan) presence in team fights allowed him to tally a game-high 19 assists along with two kills and a death.

Team Aster immediately licked its wounds and scored a 28-11 Game 2 triumph in 35 minutes to even the series.

Lin “Xxs” Jing went perfect on Timbersaw and registered nine kills and 10 assists without a single death while Syed “SumaiL” Hassan had seven kills and 14 assists to help Team Aster.

With their tournament life on the line, 9Pandas leaned on Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev’s Morphling, which ended up with three kills and six assists against one death in the 20-26 win after 43 minutes.

9Pandas will go up against Talon Esports in the lower bracket quarterfinals later in the day.
