Riot Games has revealed the exciting news that the 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour season will bring the VALORANT Masters international event to Shanghai, China.
This special occasion will mark the one-year anniversary of VALORANT’s launch in China, which occurred on July 12th, following the game’s global release in June 2020.
Set to take place in late Spring 2024, Masters Shanghai will be the second international event of the season, following VCT Masters Tokyo held earlier in June.
Despite being a relatively new entrant in the Chinese gaming scene, VALORANT has already made its mark, with China being represented at every VCT international event this year.
Notably, Chinese esports organization EDward Gaming achieved a remarkable performance, reaching the lower bracket quarter-finals at VCT Tokyo.
While specific details regarding the competition’s format, venue, and ticket prices are yet to be disclosed, fans can eagerly anticipate an action-packed tournament celebrating VALORANT’s growth and popularity in China.
