Team Spirit Escapes BetBoom To Qualify For Upper Bracket Finals

Team Spirit fended off BetBoom, 2-1, to advance to the upper bracket finals of the Riyadh Masters 2023 playoffs, Friday at the Boulevard Riyadh City.

The former TI champs took a 23-15 Game 1 win after 44 minutes and 36 seconds of action. Denis “Larl” Sigitov had a decent performance on Windranger, tallying five kills and seven assists against two deaths in the opener.

BetBoom immediately bounced back in the second match, bagging a dominant 32-15 Game 2 win in 44 minutes to even the series.

Danil “gpk” Skutin had a monster outing for BetBoom. He tallied a game-high 21 kills to go along with five assists and two deaths to give his squad another shot at making it to the upper bracket finals.

Unfortunately, it was not enough as Team Spirit took an epic Game 3 which ran for more than an hour.

Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko’s Axe starred in the crucial win with 14 kills and eight assists against five deaths while gpk had 10 kills, four deaths, and 18 assists on Ember Spirit.

Team Spirit will go up against Team Liquid in the upper bracket finale while BetBoom will face the winner of the Quest Esports-Gaimin Gladiators match-up in the lower bracket tomorrow, Saturday.
