Quest Esports has recently announced that it has let go of Alexander “Accell” Litvienko.

The news was announced on Twitter right after their 4th-place finish at the Bali Major.

“We are grateful for his contributions to our team’s growth and success… We appreciate his commitment, hard work, and genuine care for the team,” they wrote.

This comes after the team failed to secure a direct invite for The International 12. In order to qualify, the team needed to reach the grand final to secure enough DPC points.

This came as a surprise to many, as the team will participate at the Riyadh Masters on July 19, where they have a chance to take home the lion’s share of the USD15 million prize pool.

There’s no announcement yet on who will replace Accell in the coaching position. Accell has also not announced which team he will coach next or if he will still be in the Dota 2 scene this year.
