Paper Rex is the first team to enter the finals of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 Pacific League following a dominant victory over the top-ranked DRX in the upper bracket finals last Monday.
The Indonesian squad, who finished second to the same team in the regular season, scored a lopsided 2-0 win over DRX to become the first team to make it to the finale.
Paper Rex nabbed a quick 13-5 win at Fracture to open the series before completing the sweep via a 13-6 triumph at Bind.
Prior to the series, DRX only lost one series throughout the entire tournament – a shocking 0-2 loss at the hands of Filipino squad Team Secret.
DRX will take on home team T1 in the lower bracket finals for the last grand finals slot on May 27.
T1 is coming off a tight 2-0 win over Gen.G Esports in the lower bracket semifinals.
Paper Rex, DRX, and T1 have all secured their spots in the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo and the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023.
Meanwhile, Gen.G Esports, along with the rest of the 10-team Pacific League field will go through the Last Chance Qualifiers.
