VALORANT Look-Alike Hyper Front Announces Not-So-Shocking Exit

Hyper Front announced last Monday that it will cease its operations come April 10, 2023.

The mobile first-person shooter game was released back in January 20, 2022 in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.

“With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that we will be sunsetting Hyper Front and its servers will cease operations at 8:00 am (UTC +0) on April 10, 2023,” the statement opened.

Hyper Front said that it would delete the players’ account data and character date to protect their privacy and security.

“In order to protect player privacy and security, your account data, character data, and other information will be deleted after the server is no longer in operation unless otherwise specified by local laws and regulations,” the statement continued.

Hyper Front’s uncanny resemblance to Riot Games’ VALORANT definitely caught gamers by surprise which is why it’s not really that surprising to see the game go down this early.

NetEase Games, Hyper Front’s developer, did not announce the reason behind the shutdown.

“We are proud of the community formed around Hyper Front. Thank you all for the support and love during this time and we apologize for the disappointment that this announcement might cause.”
