Old G’s new and improved roster has secured a place in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe 2023 Tour 2: Division II, after winning the Closed Qualifiers Winner Bracket Finals 2-0 against Team Betrayed.
With their spot secured, Old G will face teams like Team Secret and Alliance in the lower division starting on April 5th, after the conclusion of Division 1.
Before the qualifier match, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs spoke about the team’s performance and addressed fans who were doubting the signing of North American player Kitrak.
On a Reddit thread, fans expressed their skepticism about the player’s ability.
Ceb defended Kitrak, stating that he is a “really good” player and that fans always flame newcomers.
He reminded fans that they also doubted OG’s previous successful signings of Ana and Topson.
The Old G team has undergone significant changes recently, with OG legend N0tail and MSS stepping down and being replaced by Resolut1on and Kitrak.
Suppose OG manages to complete their run in the close qualifiers. In that case, they will still have to fight through Division Two and potentially Division One before having a chance to qualify for The International 2023.
