23savage’s Crucial Chronosphere Lifts Talon over Team Spirit

After dropping the first game, Talon Esports bounced back to pull off a massive reverse sweep of former The International champion Team Spirit, 2-1, in the second round of the Lima Major lower bracket playoffs.

Talon Esports got completely stomped in the opener, falling 12-37 in kills with Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk dominating with his Spectre pick. The Team Spirit carry tallied 16 kills and 17 assists against one death, completely outplaying Nuegnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, who only had one kill, four deaths, and four assists on Shadow Fiend.

The last SEA representative served Team Spirit the same dish in Game Two, scoring a 30-2 win to even the series in just 42 minutes of action. 

Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong carried the fight for Talon Esports and fired nine kills and eight assists against two deaths on Nature’s Prophet. 

Talon Esports and Team Spirit figured in a war of attrition in the third and final game, but the former eventually prevailed after 23savage’s Faceless Void took full control of the late game and steered his side to a 2-1 win.

The Thai carry finished with eight kills, five deaths, and 15 assists in the 38-33 Game Three win in 55 minutes and 17 seconds. Jabz had 12 kills, seven deaths, and 14 assists on Nature’s Prophet while Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman added eight kills and 23 assists against five deaths on Ember Spirit.

23savage’s crucial Chronosphere during the Aegis fight at the 53rd minute allowed Talon Esports to score three crucial kills and completely fend off Team Spirit.

Talon Esports will take on Entity in the lower bracket quarterfinals later today.
