ECHO, Blacklist International Up For Early Clash in MPL PH Opener

ECHO and Blacklist International are set to rekindle their rivalry early in the MPL Philippines Season 10, taking on each other in a much-anticipated season opener this coming February 17, Friday.

The defending world champion will go up against the reigning MPL PH champs at 4:00 PM followed by the clash between Nexplay EVOS and TNC at 6:00 PM.

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and M4 Finals MVP Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales will lead ECHO while Blacklist International will bank on Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario once again.

ECHO took down Blacklist International in the grand finals of the M4 World Championship to become the third consecutive Filipino team to win the world title. Aside from that, they became the first world champion that has yet to win an MPL championship.

They also denied Blacklist International a shot at glory after ending their back-to-back hopes in the grand finals.

Meanwhile, NXPE and TNC – the bottom feeders of Season Nine – will showcase their new rosters in hopes of finally making it back to the playoffs.
