Controversy ensued when speculations told casters will be staying in Norway despite TI11 being hosted in Singapore.

The International 11 (TI11) will begin in less than a month, yet the hype is not getting traction. In contrast, people keep on finding circumstances which decreased the hype even further due to several things.

The latest one is the fact that casters and analysts would be casting from Norway for TI11 group stage and last chance qualifier.

One of the well-connected people in the Dota 2 scene elaborated this on her Twitter. Many of the TI talents would be casting from Norway instead of Singapore. The main reasons weren’t officially given yet, but it seems logistics seems to be the primary issue.

Another source also confirmed the rumor, saying that only main event casters would be present in Singapore. The panel would be done in Oslo, Norway.

With the huge time difference, the talents would be expected to be hugely fatigued trying to keep up with the TI11 schedules.

One of the well-trusted sources and long-time community members of Dota, scantzor, also confirmed the issue. He regretted the fact that Casters will be doing “bedroom” productions instead of doing them on-site in Singapore.

With these facts surfacing, there were no doubts that TI11 production values were going to be lower compared to previous TIs.
