Team Spirit’s Stockholm Major Spot In Danger

Team Spirit can potentially not attend the major, or worse, relegated to Division 2!

There is a possibility that the Stockholm Major will have to lose the winner of The International 10, Team Spirit, because they failed to qualify via DPC EEU Upper Bracket playoffs. They lost against Team BetBoom with a score of 2-1, and had to drop to the Lower Bracket.

In fact, if they weren’t careful, Team Spirit could even be relegated to Division 2 if they received one more loss against HellRaisers.

Team Spirit initially had difficulties in the series after losing the first game. They looked a little stiff after a long absence, and had to give up in the 55th minute. Team Spirit managed to win the second game and equalize the series.

However, because of a Rapier incident in the third game, the TI champs had to lose and dropped to the Lower Bracket DPC EEU.

To earn a Major slot, they must win 4 matches in a row in the Lower Bracket. Their first enemy in the Lower Bracket later will be HellRaisers. HellRaisers look pretty solid even though they have to go down to the Lower Bracket as well.

In fact, Team Spirit can be relegated to Division 2 if they lose again against Hellraisers later.
