For those of you who feel “low-ranked”, don’t worry, because MMR Recalibration is back! Ready to bet your medal in 10 games?

MMR is one of the hottest topics of debate for various Dota 2 players because it indicates their skills. In fact, some are willing to pay other people to increase their MMR, so they can show off to friends or other people who don’t necessarily care.

Turns out, Valve is giving everyone an opportunity to recalibrate their ranks.

For those who are unfamiliar with this feature, you will play 10 games with empty medals, or Uncalibrated. Then, in those 10 games, your MMR increase or decrease will be greater than usual. Some say it can be twice as much, while the others claimed that the difference is not too much.

Although it looks interesting, it must be remembered that not only the increase in rank scores, but also the decrease in MMR becomes even greater. If you lose, your medal might drop further than usual.

This feature was spotted by several players on Reddit who were shocked to see that the MMR Recalibration menu was open again. It’s been almost 2 years since the last recalibration is opened. Therefore, many speculate that this feature will unlock every time a major patch drops.
